Our clinic provides fully subsidised childhood vaccinations and developmental assessment services to Singaporean children under the National Childhood Immunisation Schedule (NCIS). There are also significant subsidies for adult Singapore citizens under the National Adult Immunisation Schedule (NAIS).
Preventive care is an integral part of primary care. Adult and childhood vaccinations provide personal protection against important vaccine-preventable infectious diseases and help achieve herd immunity in the population. Childhood Developmental Screening (CDS), which is often conducted together with childhood vaccinations, allows family doctors to screen for developmental delays in children to ensure timely referrals for any necessary early intervention.
To improve the affordability and accessibility of these services, subsidies for nationally recommended vaccinations and CDS have been made available at our clinic since 1 November 2020. This extension is in line with the recommendations made by the HealthySG Taskforce in Jul 2019 to improve and promote health, and the Government’s announcements in Aug 2019 to provide more support for marriage and parenthood.
